Friday 25th July
We decided that we would stay one more night here. Although our tank of water was getting low, we had access to a spring which was right next to our RV. We knew, from talking to a Nat. Forest employee that it was safe to drink so we used that for drinking and cooking and also for pouring into the toilet for flushing!  That way we were able to stay put until the black water filled up the tank and we had to move.
We had also been asked to go and have dinner with Howard and his wife Suzanne who had since moved their RV to another spot a few miles up the road.
We didn't do much throughout the day as we had trouble with flies and mossies so we stayed inside the van and did school work and read. We did go for a short walk before lunch but Zach and I gave up fairly early on and Steve and Holly carried on for an hour or so.  We made lunch and had a relaxing afternoon.
Howard picked us up at about 5.30 as planned and drove us a few miles up the track to where they had parked their RV and we had a wonderful dinner of spaghetti and meat balls followed by strawberries and blueberries and cream.
We had a lovely sociable evening with them, with Steve and Howard comparing rifles and talking about hunting and Holly, Zach, Suzanne and I playing with the dogs and chatting about our different lives in the States and New Zealand!
Howard drove us back to Indy at about 9pm after a lovely evening.
