We are heading towards the edge of Iowa today and up towards the I 90 which is the Interstate that heads out of Iowa and into South Dakota. This will also briefly take us into Minnesota but not for long enough for us to explore this state.
We got to Sioux Falls, South Dakota about 3pm. It was SUPER boiling hot here but we stopped at Falls Park where we had been told we could get an internet connection. So while poor Steve sat in the van collecting mail and up-dating a few days of the Blog, we explored the park. This is where the waterfalls are and it is a very pretty place. We climbed a viewing tower and climbed on the rocks near the water. It was too hot to do much more. We are sorry that the photos are not on the Blog yet but this takes so long to do we do not often get a chance to spend that amount of time trying to do it. We will hopefully do it in the next few days.
It was a relief to be driving again and have the a/c going. We did another 25 miles or so before stopping for the night at Vermillion Lake State Park in SD. It was lovely here and we parked right next to the lake. We were able to have a swim in the lake and also a really great bike ride on a trail through the surrounding farm land.
