After breakfast and a lovely shower we rode on our bikes down to the beach. It was a sunny but cold morning so we had a short walk and rode back. One of the bikes has a puncture that was a slow one but seemed to have sped up today so Steve had to keep pumping it up. We need a new inner tube I think!
We drove on into SW Oregon and stopped at an excellent Marine education center run by Oregon State University. Sort of a cross between an aquarium and a science lab. It is free to go in and very interesting. We got some question sheets for Holly and Zach and they spent ages finding out all sorts of interesting facts about marine life and effects on it from various sources. So Mr Morgan, Mrs Bauerfeind, they had an excellent science lesson today!
We have been ensuring the kids both write their journals and keep them up-to-date and we have done maths and languages work with them. It has been hard though because we haven't really settled into a routine but I think we are getting there now.
We did a big drive after lunch and we are now in Bandon, in another state Park and it has been raining.
We are still full of cold and Steve still has his cough. Hope we recover soon.
