We got a minibus , walked and then horse and carriage to the St Josephs hotel, which we booked online and got for half price (£13 a night B&B). It is a great hotel probably 3 star with swimming pool on the roof overlooking the nile.

During our time in Luxor, since we have both been there before we did not rush about but had a couple of days relaxing by the pool soaking up the sun and a day on the West bank visiting some of the temples/sites that we both had not been to before.

We got a taxi on the west bank to take us around for the day and I am sure madly overpaid. £15 for the day does not sound much but when you take into consideration that Egypt is cheap and that we did not travel vast distances and were over an hour in most places it seemed alot. Unfortunately my tailbone still hurting meant that we couldn't get bicycles... although a motorbike would have been fun if we could have found one...
