We had a 5 hour flight to Cairo at a wonderful 5am and said goodbye to Nairobi for the last time.

We arrived in Cairo and decided that we would go straight to Alexandria. Can't believe that it cost £7 limo or £6 taxi to the train station... should have just said yes to the limo but thought that we could barter the taxi driver down further! We failed.

The trains were busier than we expected and tourists are only allowed on specific trains and therefore we had to wait about 3 hours for the train so i nearly fell asleep on the platform, while the muslim call started up and hundreds of people stopped where they were going and stopped to pray towards mecca.

We got on the train and immediately fell asleep
