Today we saw a dead body, gazelle, zebra and buffalo.
I should start from the beginning. We left Watamu at 10am to get a Matatu ( minibus) to the Gede junction (50ksh) then a Matatu to Mombasa (direct for 200ksh). We spent the day hiding from the heat in cafes and bars before our train journey (2210 ksh) back to Nairobi on the 7pm train.
Firstly it was delayed by 2 hours due to a train derailment and after getting used to the bumps and the fans were turned on when the train was moving we got to sleep. the 7am breakfast call waked everyone up but thankfully an increase in altitude meant the temperature was much more comfortable.
At about 9am we felt a bump and the train broke quickly
The last 2 hours on the train is through the national park and therefore we kept a look out for animals, which is where I saw my first wild animals. We arrived in Nairobi only about 2 hours late to then see the really heavy rains ( whilst hiding in the internet cafe)

our train back to Nairobi
. Suddenly a whole village was standing around the train and we found out that a young man had tried to jump on the train and had ended up going underneath it and dying. As we started moving again you couldn't help look at as we passed the poorly covered boy on the ground..... the first dead body I think I have seen..... not sure what else to say..The last 2 hours on the train is through the national park and therefore we kept a look out for animals, which is where I saw my first wild animals.
