Beach Life!

After 8 weeks away we found a little piece of beach paradise on the west coast of Malaysia, on Pulau Pangkor. Sandy beaches, warm clear waters and not much else really! We spent most of our time lazing on the beach or at one cafe the whole week that served the chepaest food (all dishes $1) so we couldn't complain!
But after 4/5 days of sunshine the rain followed us (as it has with the other two beaches we have been to!) so we headed to KL for one night for a more hectic and noisy pace of life. Most of what we can tell you about Malaysia is from our bus journey (it was great to be on luxurious buses on proper roads for once!). The countryside is very green with palm trees as far as the eye can see. In terms of the people we have probably seen the most mixture of people here than anywhere else so far on our trip with the population being made up of Chinese, Indian and Malay's who were Muslims. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and they seemed glad to have the tourists (evry TV channel we see plugs Malaysia as the Asian destination to visit).
