All Ireland Hurling Championship

Simply amazing, that is all I can say about the sport Hurling. First of all it is a fully amateur sport played in Ireland, they also have Gaelic football but that is nothing new or special compared to American football. But Hurling is the fastest land game, fifteen people on each team, a hurley each, and 1 ball. The hurley is kinda like a lacrosse stick but they don't have a net to make it easy.
Alright, why am I so psyched? Because I just watched the All Ireland Hurling Championship between Cork and Kilkenney. Cork won but it was an amazing match that came down to the end. Plus you get to watch it in the pubs where you start drinking at lunch time, if that isn't Irish I don't know what is.
After that I ended up going back to the hostel and meeting a bunch of people: Americans, South Africans (yes just for you Jaco), English, French, Belgiums, and some other countries. All in all a fine day even though it was 100% rain...you gotta love Ireland.
