Western Spotted Bush Snake/

We call one of the lapas for the overland trucks our "office."  We are able to plug in and we have been fairly successful in getting a signal most days.

One day Robert was sitting at the table when he heard a noise and a snake dropped down from the top of the hut and landed on the cross beam with a gecko in his mouth.  We had been shown this snake earlier by Grivaljo and he called it a western spotted bush snake or common house snake.  I guess this means it is not of the poisonous variety.

The poor gecko began to bite the snake on the neck but it seemed this was a losing battle and sure enough, down the hatch the little gecko went.  We have seen this same snake hunting when we are in the "office" and I sure hope it doesn't fall on my head someday!
