Happy Birthday to Rick, I love you and thank you for our wonderful life together.

Today we spent the day in the Daintree rain forest. This is the most amazing place full of giant beautiful trees and beaches.

On the way we stopped for breakky in Mossman. Mossman is on the list of the 100 top towns to visit in Australia, its an ok town but nothing majourly special and am not sure it should rate in the top 100! From Mossman we had to cross the Daintree River by ferry and then drive on very narrow windy and hilly roads, which of course my stomach dosnt like too much!! Still i sucked it up!

We wandered through the Daintree discovery centre which is walkways built around the tree tops and over creek beds. We were given a device to listen to comentary about the forrests and its inhabitants.
It was very interesting and informative. We climbed the tower to the very top of the forrest, which was a it scary looking down, but an experience we just couldnt miss.

After a couple of hours we found a nice beach to do some sunbathing before lunch in a quaint daintree pub before driving back down the mountain and over the Daintree River to the town of Daintree which is a beautiful small tourist town situated on the Daintree River.

We arrived back in Port Douglas lat afternoon, exhausted but a wonderful day was had.
