Where I stayed
We got ready and then headed to Wenceslas square where we did a few things like getting stamps, phone credit, batteries for Baba's camera and to book a tour for Cesky Krumlov tomorrow. By the time we had done this it was about 11am and we were due to meet up with Baba's cousin, Misa at 11:30am.
Misa helped take Baba, her husband and my mum out of Prague illegally after there were issues with communism in 1968. Misa was only 18 and took them all to Vienna where they then stated with the red cross and were given the decision to go to Canada or Australia and they chose Australia.
We met up with Misa and headed to a close by restaurant. It was a quiet little restaurant downstairs off the street. I ended up having a stroganoff and white wine, but they ended up giving us little vases full of wine which was 2 large glasses! I am pretty weak do felt a bit tipsy soon after lol.
Because Baba and Misa were chatting in Czech, I decided to go around the corner to an Internet cafe to upload the last 2 weeks of photos I had on my camera. The computers were so slow and it took me an hour and a half to get the photos up!
I headed back to the restaurant where Baba and Misa were just about to go. We then said goodbye to Misa who was very talkative, even to me in some English.
Afterwards we went to go get some facial moisturiser as I'd left mine at home and the cool weather was drying. We went into Sephora and Baba bought me a lovely Clinique one which was only about $25 Australian. It was only 30ml but they're about $40-$50 in Australia I think!
Afterwards we went to H&M to get me some proper winter layers as Baba realized the ones I was wearing were just like a t-shirt material and not doing much at all. I bought 2 lovely jumpers and a winter dress. All very nice and warm and will be good for winter in Adelaide too.
It was starting to get dark so we headed back to the flat, stopping off at a supermarket before we got on our bus. We went to get some fruit and yoghurt. There was a whole refrigerated aisle with only yoghurts! Yoghurt drinks, yoghurt tubs, yoghurts in jars, yoghurts in bigger tubs, yoghurts with candies to tip into them and cream, dessert yoghurts. The only way I could tell what was what was by the pictures so I took a few different types. There were only about 3 different actual packs with more than one, the rest were just sold individually. Each individual container was between about 30 and 80 cents Australian.
We finished off our shopping and headed to the flat. It was lovely to rest and we had some rolls for dinner. I ended up getting ready for bed and lying there at about 8pm just listening to my audiobooks.
Marketa then called and asked us about coming to her news studio on Sunday which is a bit exciting!
