Mabuhay!
Well here we are in Borocay, we spent one hot humid smoggy day in Manila and off to the sand and sun of beautiful Boracay.
Boracay is arguably the most popular beach town in The Philippines. Having spent a few days here, I have to agree it is very popular for a reason. the beaches are georgeous, lots of places to eat, drink and spend your hard earned money on. The Koreans love this place, there are Korean restaurants everywhere and not to mention tonnes of Korean tourists. i can see how the Filippinos love them....they spend there money on everything there is to buy on the island. From goofy straw hats, to hair braiding to hena and matching couples clothes. Its really something to see.
The weather hasn't been all that great....we have got periods of sun mixed with typhoons....i actually have to admit I am enjoying it...everywhere i have been for trips in the past i always miss the rain. As long as we don't get it everyday, i don't mind. We have still got some quality beach time of course. Everytime it starts to rain hard and were either on the beach or the road, we just head to the nearest drinking hole and wait it out with some friends....San Miguel and Juan Tequila.
Anyway plans are we will head to the city of Cebu for a day or so and then head to the island of Palawaan in the west. The diving there is supposed to be world class. Something about hammerhead sharks and whale sharks that sold me on the idea. To this point, we haven't been in the water....i am getting antsy.
Anyway gotta roll, have to make the best of this trip.
