Well we are nearing the end of this adventure, so it was with a little sadness that we left our spot in Camelot   and made our last journey just a mile or two down the road to Orbit RV park - where in fact we had stayed in Dec 2006. Gosh that seems a long time ago now, many RV and Toad miles under our belt since then, in fact about 30,000 or so. In the blazing sunshine - that's what people come here for after all - Malc parked Bree in the space that was to be ours for the rest of our time here. That will give us a chance to sort everything out, store what we need to and jettison what we don't want. We have been very conscious not to collect lots of "stuff" along the way - our souvenirs are our photos...and we have PLENTY of them! In fact the ones you've seen on the blog are only a very small portion of them. Then it's a good clean and tidy so that he is ready for sale :(
It is a bit of a difficult one this, we love him dearly, but as we do want to come back in the summer and continue our travels to take in some more northerly destinations it would mean storing him until the summer of 09 and we don't think that's a great idea.
Our good friends Doug + Trish are joining us later in the week it's a shame we haven't been able to hook up before and do some travelling together, but hey it'll be great to see our mentors again.
We are actually nearer to Sebastian now and as we never explored the area much when we were here last time, it's been nice to have a better look round. This less developed part of Florida has fewer extremes of temperature but of course lies in the hurricane belt during the summer. The very comfortable climate means that it is popular with residents and snowbirds alike, the tropical vegetation is wonderful and in old Sebastian there is even a "promenade" so we pedestrians can enjoy a walk along the waterfront. This area is called "The Treasure Coast" but we didn't find any - but we are coming back :)
