So what have we been up to? Well, we spent a very enjoyable couple of hours in a supermarket - I know we're very sad aren't we? But it is a spectacular place as you will see. (Those who followed us last time will know about it already)
It really is a delight to wander down the aisles, meander through the displays and feast your eyes upon the wonderful multitude of intriguing items on offer. As you can see presentation is more of an art form in this place, whether it be fish, pasta or the bakery, or any where else in the store for that matter.
Everywhere you look tempting exhibits abound, exciting your senses, making you want to try everything! One reason it is so appealing is the sheer number of different and unusual products available.
Should you fancy something but you're not sure how to prepare or cook it...no problem, simply go to one of the information 'kiosks' use the touch screen to input the item you can find out all you need to know, even get a recipe. Then print it out! No excuse not to be adventurous.
The staff are also fonts of all knowledge, Malc spent quite some time with the guy on the tea 'stall' and came away much better informed about blending tea and what types he should buy. Hey they even had PG tips (but they were very expensive)
Another facet of business is the fresh hot food, the breakfast bar, delicious soups in fact lots to tempt your appetite, eat in or out.
I think if I had to use two words to describe the store, I couldn't manage with just one - they would be choice and quality, oh and organic and ethical and...wonderful, well as I said see for yourself...check out the album
We weren't quite sure what this customer was after!
There was an unfortunate incident at the campsite this week, when a car veered off the road where the speed limit is 5mph! and rammed a fifth wheel (a trailer designed to be pulled by a pick up truck, usually the sleeping quarters are in the bit that goes over the bed of the pick up) It got itself stuck under the overhang as the tow bar entered the car and the driver had to be cut free. The impressive part was the arrival of two fire trucks, four paramedic vehicles and the sheriff all within 5 minutes of the 911 call!
