We decided to stop for a night in Wanaka to break up the drive to our next stop. Wanaka is a beautiful town set on the side of a lake. It is very similar to Queenstown only not quite as picturesque and with less tourists. Most of the activities that can be done in Queenstown can also be found here bar the bungy jump.

As it was just a stop over we decided to give the adventure stuff a miss. Instead we spent the day in Puzzle World. We thought it would be a cheap and fun way to pass the day but after 2 hours trapped in the maze we found an emergency exit and discretely slipped out a little embarrassed. That night we once again retired to the car as we weren't too keen on risking another hostel.
