On the way from Brisbane we made a stop off at the home of the Crocodile Hunter- that crazy freak Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo. The crazy mungrel himself wasn't there but we had a great day anyway! One of the highlights of the day was meeting Harriott, a 175 year old tortoise taken from the Galapagos by Charles Darwin himself in 1835! Anotehr highlight was the croc show where the Irwin wannabes fed the crocs rats and chickens. It was pretty impressive. We got close to most other Aussie animals including wombats, dingoes and possums. We even got a cuddle from a koala, hand fed the roos and got to meet Terry Irwin Steve's trouble and strife. What a ripper of a day!

That night we camped on Dickey Beach in the town of Coloundra which is on the Sunshine Coast.
