We had a good feeling arriving back in Bangkok. Got our usual cardboard box room, slung the bags down and hit the Khao San. After a couple of hours re-familarising ourselves with our old haunts, we arranged to a meet a friend's sister who we missed on the first time. Unfortunately for her and fortunately for us we got stood up and had to settle for a free rock and reggae concert by two pretty good Thai bands that are well popular in SE Asia. The night turned out to be great. We got chatting to 2 old timer hippies with dreadlocked hair and beards to match. Turned out they were pretty well known and were able to introduce us to the promoter who brought us back stage to carry on the party with the bands. Ended up being a really good night. Curtis entertained us with some great stories of his adventures including the American War in Vietnam. The next day we took the sky train to Bangkok's biggest market which would put Nutt's Corner to shame. It has 300,000 visitors a day and 17,000 stalls you would forget that it was day time when your deep in the heart of it.
