The capital of Laos but its more like a town you would find in Donegal we went into a tourist office and asked if there was anything to do in Vientiane. The girl swiftly avoided the question and instead listed all the things to do in other places. Luckily we got a room with a tv which has probably spared our memories of this city. We found 1 lively bar which helped get the first night in. Tomorrow we are heading to Vang Vieng which we have heard pretty good reports about.
