There is absolutely nothing to do in Mui Ne apart from a few sand dunes a nice beach. It may sound good but when there are about 30 bars and restaurants and only about 20 people to fill them it gets pretty boring. We took to the beach with a few bottles of local red which was much more craic than the liveliest bar.
Probably the best laugh we got was when we went to a restaurant for some steak and chips. When the meat arrived it looked a bit suspect, we were tinkering around with it on our plates both watching each other, both thinking the same thing.... we both held firm eating our chips and side salad but each time we put our knives into the steak a dog began to whimper outside the restaurant. We could stop laughing. Conor cleared his plate and has since been seen pissing against lamp posts and car tyres.
Don't bother going to this place unless it is in peak season ie December

"No, i think its amazin'.......really"
. A better choice would be Dalat which we didn't get to but heard some nice things about. After two days of boredom we had built ourselves up for the "party town" of Nha Trang. Got there at 6 slung our bags in and went looking for some action. It wasn't long until we were pissed off at the sight of another ghost town. We sunk a few beers with the locals at a street stall and were told about the town's hot spot. We took his advice and it ended up being as close to night club as Vietnam could muster. Saw what there was to see the next day - a Pagoda and some Budda statues. We are really fed up with Nha Trang, maybe it is because we were bored in Mui Ne as well. It is not that the places themselves are bad but there are not enough people to bring them to life, so we are getting on a night bus to Hoi An. Write soon.
