Arrived in Bangkok after a hard day's travelling with Air India. Nothing is straightforward in India even getting out of there! Our advice to travellers is to leave at least 5 hours before your flight, for anything that might, and most likely, will go wrong. Anyway we were blown away by Bangkok. We had pictured it to be like Delhi but how wrong we were. Ultra modern, ultra clean, nice people and a kicking nightlife. Got the bus into town with Mike guy from New Zealand. He was a really cool guy that had just come from Nepal after climbing the second highest peak (800 metres short of Everest).

Hit the Khao San Road, threw our bags into a cheap and nasty hostel and then hit the bars. It was great to get drunk and eat food from the stalls. We sampled Bangkok's nightlife until the early hours and finished up by drinking a few beers at the roadside until 6am!
The next day was a write off.

6th October


Went on the drink again to night (making up for India). We ended up playing drinking games with some Thai students we met.
Heading to Kanchanburi tomorrow.
