We have spent the last few days in Jaipur. Jaipur is known as the pink city, for the same reasons as the blue city, that is, all the buildings are painted pink. We read that Jaipur had been "cleaned up" recently for the visit of Bill Clinton, but it must have gotten dirty pretty quickly because it looked like every other Indian city we had visited. We went to the City Palace which was pointless as most of the nice parts were not accessible to tourists. We decided to give sightseeing a break for the day and went to check out Bollywood's latest creation, "Saalam Naamastte." The girls and boys sit in separate areas of the cinema which was strange but the break away from each other was nice...
AGRA
This place is one of the worst cities we have seen so far
All the men in Uttar Pradesh eat these red nuts which they spit all over the place leaving like what looks like blood stains everywhere. The only saving grace for Agra is that 350 years ago one clever Emperor and 20,000 of his mates decided to build a tomb for his dead wife aka The Taj Mahal. This makes everything worthwhile. It is the most astounding building we have ever seen. We were awe struck at its beauty. 50 photos later we went inside to look at the tombs. it is hard to describe how beautiful the Taj is, it's just one of those things you have to see with your own eyes. We watched the sunset and the colour of the marble change before heading back home.
This was our last day with the Singhster and we were so glad to get rid of him. He was beginning to seriously melt our heads!

. The state of Uttar Pradesh is one of the most badly run states in India. Powercuts, corrupt politicians and police and serious crime are only some of the problems this state has.
