Switched on the Mexican air con and headed for Ranakpur. Still in foul form 4 hours later we rolled into a jungle retreat. It looked like two days here would be just the ticket. Later that day we went to the Jain Temple. Built in the 15th century it is the largest temple in India. It was amazing. Outside we got into a bit of trouble when two monkey tribes clashed over a stray banana. Later that evening our 6 year old tour guide took us on a two hour hike to some natural beauty spots overlooking the lakes, which were spectacular. We watched the sun go down and headed back.
That night we had dinner with "Booster" {a butch looking lesbian from Birmingham.} and two Swedish girls. The craic was flying and so were the Tequillas, supplied on the house by the hairy eared owner of the hotel. The ear hair was so long you could have plaited it. We swapped horror stories about our time so far in India and went to our room only to be confronted by our next horror story..
We hit the road for Udaipur the next day. Udaipur is a "clean" green city with some nice lakes you may have actually seen Udaipur before as the Bond movie Octopussy was filmed there, which is shown in most restaurants every night. We spent the day at the city Palace and went for dinner that night with some other travellers form all over the world. We got on pretty well with an Aussie guy called Peter who we have arranged to hook up with in Bangkok.

Conor finds himself
. The room was alive and kicking. The cast of A Bugs Life had decided to join us along with some mates. Half an hour later the room looked like a scene from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Mairead jumped in under her mossy net and nodded off in record time, leaving Conor to fend for himself. The next day all 330 million Hindu Gods must have opened the heavens, because it rained all day. Maybe Conor pissed them off because his ass opened for a few days too. Really though he was very ill.We hit the road for Udaipur the next day.
