Before we left Galesville we were fortunate to watch the Wednesday sailboat River races strickly sail no power in or out of slip and return on a colorful spinnakerBEAUTIFUL!!!!!We were hit with another storm on Thursday so were unable to enjoy the tranquil anchorage in the Rhode River so will catch that anchorage on the way back.so on Friday we traveled to Fairlee Creek(Great Oak Landing) we passed Annapolis,the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the famous Thomas Point Lighthouse and Baltimore.to enjoy BEST OF THE BAY---BEST RESORT MARINA on the Eastern shore of Maryland.It is a 70 acre property in the middle of no where and absolutely beautiful.They provide all the services and amenities any discerning Captain could ever need.Full service restaurant,lounge,lodge,pool,LIVE WEEKEND ENTERTAINMENT, ----AND JELLYFISH JOELS OH and golf.This is Rogers old stomping grounds and Saturday there will be a POKER RUN with all the fast boats,all equipped with THE FAST BABES!!!!!and a BIKINI CONTEST(I think this was planned!!!!)There were 25 boats rafted together with a banner "OUR OWN DAMN YACHT CLUB" they were a hoot.We pumped up the raft,sunscreen applied,hat.sunglasses and a COLD BREWSKY and a DOXIE all set to enjoy the FUN.FLOATING WITH THE DACH(MR.DACH)ON THE CHESAPEAKE BAY----WASTING TIME!!!!!BOATS,BOATS AND MORE BOATS.Will enjoy the anchorage and amenities here and then head further North to the Sassafras River-----Georgetown,Maryland.
