Singapore spoiled us.  We stayed here with Jonathan's friend Chris, his wife Crystal and their three kids Tio, Ralph and Orin.  Life was full of luxuries - condo with swimming pool and AC, breakfast of meusli and milk tea, lego and transformers to play with, Star wars movies to watch, homemade flapjacks and mince pies to eat (Sorry Crystal - Orin was pushing the flapjacks!).

The whole place is so clean and pleasant it's impossible not to like it.  While there we visited Sentosa park and saw the city icon "The Merlion" - no, we hadn't heard of it either but the park was a bit of fun.  Another day we went to the Chinatown area.  It was a bit funny, having just spent a month in China itself but to be honest it ain't a million miles from the real thing except for the lack of Chinese people!

The highlight of our few days in Singapore though was our trip to the water park.  The main motivation for our trip there was to give Chris a chance to use his new waterproof camera (well there ain't much point in moving to Singapore if you're not willing to befriend you're local electronics dealer!)  Anyway, he managed to get some pretty good shots, which are now proudly on display on his Facebook album.  Bit worried though about how determined Jono and I looked racing down a slide that was all of 15 foot - maybe it's time to tame the competitive streak a bit.

So after our few days here headed on for our next new adventure - India.
