We arrived in Hong Kong, after a 10hr flight through the night, late afternoon. Hong Kong was pretty much covered in smog - at least around the airport area. The stewardess told us it comes into Hong Kong Bay from China. We could hardly see anything and wondered why we had come here! We had just 5 minutes at the hotel with Dave and Janet before they left for the airport for Adelaide, which was not enough to catch up and swap stories. Through another time zone; getting closer to Melbourne time, but our body clock is not. Around 5.30am Helsinki time, I woke up on the plane; the cabin lights still down low, seats reclined all passengers asleep from what I could see, some snoring happening, pull my shade up a little and it was bright sunshine. Of course it was around 11.30am on this side of the world. Last night we found an Australia restaurant called "Outback" and enjoyed food cooked Aussie style. Same chain of restaurant as we found last time in New York. Was great to see photos of Australia around the walls - clean, pristine water, beautiful beaches etc. Did a little check out of some of the local shops just around the hotel before we surrendered to the need for sleep.
