Where I stayed
I met Ricky B on 28th street and we followed our friend Marty down to the beach where all of his buddies were playing shirtless beach volleyball in an obvious homage to the infamous sweaty slow-mo beach scene in Top Gun. After a sight like that I turned to Ricky recommended a Philly cheese steak lunch to reestablish our manhood, which we ate in silence obviously scarred from the beach volleyball disaster
After lunch, with our manhood once again on solid footing, we searched for the spot serving the best greyhounds in town. Hennessey's turned out to be the best because they utilizes fresh squeezed grapefruit juice with a wonderful result. Buddy met us on the top deck after about an hour and Ricky Knauf followed shortly after that. We relaxed until they kicked us out for a private party, but we shook it off and went to Fat Faced Fenner's, a Boston themed bar, where I made Ricky B pose with a BC flag on the ceiling.
Fast forward a few hours to the Shark's Cove flip cup tournament where Ron Mexico, Todd Reno, and Mitch Fresno entered under the guise of obscure aliases. We thought we were baddass until Danielle Sabo kicked the competetive shit out of our team with a 5 flip attempt, 5 success, shalacking of our alter-ego filled alliance.
Down but not out we did the manly thing and snuck out the back entrance quietly to find some grub. We settled for a little restaurant on the corner of Pier and ermosa Ave. that had some pretty decent steaks, and good wine albeit at a premium price.
We met Brynne's matriarchal crew of bachelorette party goers at 12 and Highland but aside from Brynne, Ann, Kristen and Jen they were about as much fun as taking the SATs for the second time. I got pretty tired at the bar and tried to sneak out but Ricky B caught me red-handed and hauled me back in to put on a dance exhibition. After a quick Shellback stop it was time for some french onion soup at the Kettle and some well earned ZZZZ's. All in all, a very successful day.
