Today we awoke at about 7 a.m. and were hoping for some sunshine.  Unfortunately the clouds had really settled into the town of Banff for the day.  We had breakfast with Bill, Kathy, Torie, and Mike.  After breakfast we met the rest of the group in the lobby.  The first adventure of the day was a bike ride.  After walking over to the bike shop and getting fitted with a bike and helmet we were off on our ride.  We took to the streets of Banff first, then onto  a biking trail which led us to the river behind the Fairmont Springs.  What a nice view of the hotel and the rapids, too bad it wasn't sunny.  After taking a short hike for some pictures we were back on the bikes until we were close to the gardens.  We took a short break near the gardens to take some pictures.  After the gardens we were back to town and returned the bikes.

By the time we had finished our bike tour the rain was beginning to fall a bit harder.  We were off on a short walk to the Whyte Museum.  This art Museum was founded by two local residents, one of whom had originally come from Concord Mass.  We had a small tour by - can you believe it - a blind person named Bob.  Bob was very entertaining and was amazing at finding his way around the museum.  He even quizzed us on the qualities of landscape painting.  We also had a painting lesson while at the museum which Bob didn't lead, but his assistant Valerie did.  I must say we may not see our paintings hanging in a museum, but we had fun working on them.

After the tour was over we walked with Torie & MIke over to the Fairmont to check it out and grab a bite to eat.  Well as luck would have it there was not one place open for lunch so we decided to walk back to the town and eat there.  Tiffany (one of the tour directors) had recommended the Rose & Crown so we stopped and had lunch there.  There was a special $10 for a burger and a beer.  Three of us had that and Bonnie had the Perogie Pizza - PIzza with mashed potato, sour cream, ham and other things.  It was very good.  After lunch we ventured off to find the best chocolate in Banff.  We found the place, but the chocolate was not too impressive :).  Now it was back to the hotel to get ready for the next event.

Time to go to the Hot Springs.  After a quick ride we arrived at the Hot Springs.  Disney had scheduled for us to wear "Vintage" bathing suits if we wanted, well most of the group were good sports and agreed to.  It was pretty interesting watching us all move into the pool with these bathing suits.  We spent about 1 hour here before most folks had enough of the heat.  Time to shower and change and head back to the Hotel.

We took time to check in on a few things while at the hotel, then we were off for some shopping.  It was a successful a shopping trip.  Bonnie bought a new winter coat  and new pocket book and Bob bought a new wallet.   After we finished shopping we were off for Dinner.   We decided on Saltlik which was recommended by Tiffany.  The food and service was very good.  After dinner we met Kari and Chris at a local Irish Pub and then a number of the other Adventures By Dinsey travel members joined us.  We had a great time.
