Where I stayed
Glacier Park Lodge
We had a bit of time before we met the entire group for dinner. Dinner was a Cowboy Bar-B-Q with entertainment inside the hotel . The food was very good! In total there are 33 guests on our tour with Adventures By Disney. There are folks from many parts of the country - Hawaii, Florida, New Jersey, Chicago, Tennesee, San Diego, Pennsylvannia and many other places. After dinner we watched the sunset and took some photos inside and outside the lodge.
Our latest adventure begins at 4 a.m. Saturday, September 4th. We had an easy ride to Boston but we were very nervous about how hurricane "Earl" might impact our travel, well we got lucky and all our flights went off without a hitch. We actually arrived in Minneapolis early and had enough time to grab a quick bite before our next flight to Montana. Upon arriving in Kalispell, Montana we met our tour guides Tiffany and Geraldine from Adventures By Disney then waited at the airport until the last group of folks arrived on the next arriving flight. The airport was smaller than Manchester, NH, so not much to do, but we only had to wait 45 minutes. From the airport it was about a 2 hour ride to our lodge at East Gate of Glacier National Park. We drove by the Flathead River and through some small towns before reaching the lodge. We are staying at the Glacier Park Lodge for three nights. This lodge is one of the grand old lodges of the National Park Service and is located right outside the park entrance on the East Side of Glacier National Park. We had a tour of the hotel while they moved the luggage to each of the rooms.
