Well as you know, i'm always looking forward to new destinations... This time, i could say that it wasn't even planned! The occupancy at the hotel was getting low, so i tought i should check out some plane tickets and go meet some paraglider pilots down in Mexico. I got the ok from the job at 5 pm, book at 8 pm and drove the next morning to Seattle!
I got there in mid-afternoon, after a long night travelling by car, plane, bus, taxi...
Valle de Bravo is a little city, 75 km outside of Mexico. Not the typical town that you have in mind. It has a lot of charms, not too much poverty and its probably one of the safest city in Central America.
So the goal of this trip was to get myself back into the world of paragliding after taking 2 months off
But, i also gained confidence over the week and learned more on this trip than in one season in Canada. I made my first cross-country flight (20km), went up to cloudbase and learned what active flying is really all about! Thanks to all the pilots who were part of my experience.
So, the pictures were taking over 10 days, flying around town. Also, a lot of them are from other people's camera.
I'm already looking forward to another trip...any idea? Bresil? California?
It's snowing hard on the mountain, better get going ;-)
Talk to you later, come visit me in Whistler. I can't hardly see my house .... so much powder!

Andy accro pilot ready to take off
. Valle is a popular destination for flying cross country, competitions and gain some experience thermalling in strong conditions. Its not too much of a beginer site. I got intimidated a few times cause that place can get really crowded (+100pilots at a time in big a thermal). It took me 3-4 days to really feel comfortable in the air and a lot of times, i had the feeling i was on a busy highway, trying to avoid collisions.
