Pre-Trip Planning
Entry 1 of 1 | show all | print this entry |
Pre-planning for the Disney Trip is almost done. The biggest expense is, of course, the hotel, at about $1,200 for 7 nights. So with a small budget for the trip of approximately $2,000 I wasn't sure if the trip was a possibility for me. However, luckily with the help of all the online tools Walt Disney offers, I managed to work out a plan. I purchased a Park Hopper Pass, that will get me to all the parks for approximately $250 dollars. What is great about the park pass, is that it allows for jumping from one park to another in the same day. So, if you are at Animal Kingdom and you get rained on you can move to another park for the remainder of the day and not waste an entire days fun at an amusement park. Also, online I found information about Fast Passes for rides, they are free it is just a matter of getting there before the attraction runs out of fast passes. Another great tool I found online, was park maps and information regarding the shows, and rides, and restaurant choices. I actually found menus online, so I can better plan for when I chose to eat lunch, I can eat somewhere a bit less expensive than another place. Another great offer was Disney's Magical Express. This is a free service that will pick you up from the airport and take you back to the airport. It also takes you from park to park. This is great for people who don't want to have to deal with renting a car and finding their way around the Disney Complex. One other thing I want to mention for those of you who may be planning a trip to Disney World is staying at a Disney resort. There are three price levels at the resorts, Budget, Moderate, and Luxury. The resorts are nice, because they offer travel between the parks. Also, there are certain days parks open an hour early, BUT ONLY for those guests staying in the Disney Resorts. Each resort has its own entertainment and eating areas, and persons on a budget may see that as a way to save money during their vacation.
