A little more beach time in the morning and Katie gave away our floatie to an Italian family who didn't understand what we were doing and thought Katie was trying to take advantage of them... after much apprehension the kid finally realized it was hers to enjoy!

Head to the ferry and hop on the fastcat, which arrives just a bit too late to catch sunset over the caldera but we manage to make it to the black sand beaches of Kamari in time to get a good view of the early evening before settling down to dinner on the boardwalk.  I ate a local volcanic fish which was tasty, but not nearly as good as some of the other dishes I've had in the islands!

Adventures around the boardwalk included checking out an entirely unexciting hole in the cliff that was lit up for some reason and drinks at a swanky local bar are taken on a couch while soft core porn/greek soap operas are playing in the background... talk about weird!

We start heading home only to get side tracked by a local taverna owner offering us a free round of ouzo for whatever reason (I must say, we looked particularly good that evening).  Despite our skepticism, we saw a bunch of old people dancing traditional greek jigs, so we thought we'd take a seat and check it out.  After ordering a round of Mexalla (that stuff is strong) we were quickly escorted onto the dancefloor by the dancing Athenian men and ladies, none of which were younger than 65.  They loved life as if they were 18 and we had a blast learning a few greek line dance routines.  We were sad to see them leave but we got a bottle of wine and set up shop on the black rocks of the beach and fall asleep under the moon and stars... talk about picture perfect!

Note: Shout out to Dixon for booking the hotel in Kamari for us as we had no internet access and while we didn't actually use the hotel, it was great, I think!
