I wake up early on my last day in Moscow and head to the Armory to finally see the Faberge Eggs. I get there and they haven't opened yet so I grab some breakfast nearby. By the time I get back there is a line 200 hundred deep and I decide that the eggs don't want to see Jorge and I so we will have to go back another time to see the Armory! I get to to the airport, which is no easy task, and head to St. Petersburg a few hours late.
Getting in very late, I find my hotel by around 10:30pm, but am confused because it is still so light out that I feel like its 6pm. I'm a bit frustrated because the great hotel with a big bed, laundry service and internet turns out to be a crappy old soviet era building with the smallest bed I've ever seen, no internet and laundry service that includes washing your clothes in the sink. I head out and find a great place to do sushi on Nevsky prospect while seeing some of the city center and doing some great people watching.
I walk around for a while and hit up a few bars and wind up getting out of the last bar after the sun rose so I never really saw darkness. By the time I get home at 6am the sun is up. Side note: I have never seen so many beautiful women in one place... not even Australia comes close!
On the walk home...

The Hermitage after midnight
I'm back... The large scale buildings were amazing and more impressive than in Moscow for some reason. Maybe they are better preserved or more intricately designed but I felt like it was like night and day between Moscow and St. Petersburg. White Nights!
