On to Langkawi, but I don't want to leave

Today we head to Langkawi, but I had one more dream to fulfill in Thailand before I was ready to leave. I hired a long tail boat to take us around the island and to some of the deserted beaches of neighboring Ko Anang.
The girls pranced in the water as if posing for a photo shoot and I decided to take the opportunity to sunbathe and snorkel in the buff. Lauren pointed out that my previously unexposed areas were actually florescent white as compared to my relatively tanned skin everywhere else. Unfortunately, I don't think my 20 minutes escapade down the never-ending desolate beach helped all that much.
We ventured back to resort, via some impressive snorkeling, to search for Jorge before hopping on the boat to Langkawi in Malaysia. Once in Langkawi, we find a beautiful resort just in time to change and head out to dinner and then hit up the town "big time". Unfortunately, I don't think Langkawi was ready for what hit it, and the terrible trio were unable to unleash its full force as the venues left something to be desired in terms of the crowd.
Having said that, Langkawi is clearly nicer and more upscale than any of the islands in Thailand. There are several 5 star resorts and the infrastructure is quite modern. We had dinner at a traditional Malay restaurant that could have easily been in NYC or LA based on design and décor alone, and the food was phenomenal as well!
