I find a cove to jump off the rocks and am in absolute heaven standing out on front of the boat during a 10 minute shower storm before the weather returns to being absolutely perfect.
We chill on this beach, snorkel around another, eat at a nice restaurant atop the cliffs of another, and head to snorkel at the Japanese gardens around Ko Nang Yuan. Nang Yuan is angelic if ever an island could be. It is actually three islands connected by sandy causeways that no doubt create one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with three perfectly white sandy beaches within meters of each other. I lay down on one after swimming ashore, which took a good 20 minutes and tired me out. After a few minutes I thought that this beach wasn't quite perfect enough so I stood up, turned around, and walked 10 feet and faced the other direction on a similarly heavenly beach.
Back at the fort, the afternoon is meant for a nap but I get caught up in playing futsal volleyball with a bunch of the local guys who have set up a net on the beach literally next to my bungalow. I join in and obviously surprise them with my ability to contribute to the game, as well as my clear height advantage on a net that is certainly not made with someone over 6 feet in mind. Having said that, these guys are amazing! They are doing flip kicks and landing back on their feetĚ I'm amazed and absolutely beyond dead tired by the time I head in for my cold shower.
The evening is classic beach one with dinner, drinks, hookah, and hammocks on the beach with a hodge-podge group of Canadians, Americans, Swedish, Israeli, English and Burmese people!
