Where I stayed
We left Barcelona mid-day. Later that evening, after a fairly enjoyable car ride, we arrived in Monaco. Winding around the rocky cliffs of France, along the northern coast of a most beautiful Mediterranean Sea, you may happen to run into a little principality known as Monaco. Now I'm from New York City. It gets rather difficult to impress me in the ways of a beautiful city. However, I truly think the streets are paved with gold.
I'm fairly certain we committed three felonies simply by showing up in our stinky spanishwear amongst the beautiful suited men and women. Luckily there were no fines to pay, apart from the place we stayed. Driving through this road is simply devastating in that you could cry at the scenery and whilst crying drive directly into the sea. Halfway down the long and winding road* I broke the silence quite profoundly. The arrival video explains this. We stayed in a hotel halfway down the hill which I assure you cannot be beat for the price.
Mad went in and talked to the lady and dropped the Dewar bomb on em. The people are scotch fiends so they instantly treated us like rockstars. They parked our car for us while we moved our backpacks of random dirty clothing. The only logical explanation (we thought) for these walking rags to be in this hotel is: they must all be superstar American actors dressing in disguise.
Long story short, because I'm quickly depleting the internet card we purchased, we had an amazing time on the streets of Monte-Carlo. Sat outside the casino with drinks like the few posh hipsters we are and attempted to fit in. To afford to live there you either have to be a professional bank robber with the likes of John Dillinger, or a prince. And they already got one of those. So there we have it. Monaco rocks.
