My alarm went off at 530 and I couldn't pull myself from the bed so I went back to sleep. I finally got up a whole hour later and riding was the last thing I wanted to do. I ate breakfast and loaded up on coffee hoping it would keep me warm for a little while. It was a long cold ride to Roswell and when I got there I noticed a small problem. I found a small gas leak coming from the choke cable. I pulled the cable and the threads were stripped. I won't go into everything but a hour later I had it plugged up but I wouldn't be able to use my choke in the morning. The guy at the Honda service center said he could get me a new cable but it would be a few days. Then he comes back out and tells me that a buddy of his at a different bike shop would give me his off his personal bike. Talk about southern hospitality. I went to buy it from the guy for $18, looks like it's not a big deal after all. I spoke to soon. I didn't need the whole cable so I asked the guy if I could buy just the plastic part that was stripped. He looked up the price and it turns out that it's $58. $58 for a little plastic piece of crap. I said screw it and left the plug in. Looks like starting my bike in the morning is going to be fun. Oh by the way, roswell sucked.

That is one might fine wiring job on your carb. Is that the way the service manual says to do it?
