Funny fact. Most of you are familiar with Matt Lauer I'm sure. Well, he has a segment called "Where in the World is Matt Lauer". Turns out Matt Lauer was at the Keukenhof the same day we were!!! He was in Holland to celebrate Queen's Day for the segment, which was the next day, and wanted to check out the world renowned Tulip Fields
Included are the pictures that I aquired from the Keukenhof, and then also pictures and a video from the dance that my class performed. For the last block, I enrolled in a Contemporary and Modern Dance course. It was International Dance Day on April 29th, and one of the requirements for our course was the spread the news of International Dance Day. We decided what better way to spread the news, then by doing a dance. Little did we know...the day we had planned to do the dance was Queen's Day! Queen's Day is comparable to Labor Day in the States. Everyone takes work off to celebrate the Queen's Birthday...so it was the busiest day in the square we danced in by far. We had quite the audience....but it was great experience. I feel like I got the fear of making an idiot of myself in public out of my system. :)
I have two more days of class left...and then the block is over!!! I don't know where time goes. I am writing this to you on Saturday May 3rd, and I leave Holland on Thursday May 8th. When I came on this trip...I didn't think I would make it the whole three months, but here I am...and I don't know if I am really ready to go home. I miss you all sooooo much....but my classmates have become a family to me as well...and I'm not ready to say good-bye. This has been the experience of a lifetime, and I don't think I am ready for it to end! I have been in this amazing fantasty world, backpacking across Europe, just living life!!! I am soooo blessed to have had this opportunity and am extremely grateful everyday to be in the life I am living!
I cannot wait to see you all!!! It has been entirely tooooo long and I can't wait to be home :)
Enjoy the pictures...and I promise a little more inspiration soon :)
