Hello Everyone!

I decided it was time for my monthly update :) Today...on the nose...has been 1 month since I have been in Maastricht. Time has flown by soooo fast...I can't even believe it sometimes. We have two more days of class and then I will have completed one full block at MCTS (two more to go)! I wish I could say my correspondence course was going as smoothly....but nothings perfect right! :) I have made soooooo many new friends, and relationships that I know will last a lifetime! Maastricht is starting to feel a little more like home as I become more accustomed to the city and townspeople here. My room in the dorms is becoming a little less scary with every night...and I have finally stopped cringing everytime I step in the showers :) The food here isn't terrible...just completely and utterly deep-fat-fried. They say Americans are the obese ones...but with Europeans eating so much fatty foods...I don't know how they stay so skinnny! The weather here has been fairly decent...a couple rainy days, a couple chilly days...but nothing comparable to good ol' SD. The nightlife here is constantly keeping us busy...and I have a feeling it is going to be difficult for me to come back to the states as a minor again :) This issue though is something I think my parents might be favorable for :) I miss everyone sooo much, but I know this is an opportunity of a lifetime, and I cannot count my blessing enough that I am here it seems!

Next week we have a five day vacation in between the end of the first block and the beginning of the second...and last week we booked a trip to BARCELONA!!! I am soooooo excited to go there and hang out for five days. Barcelona is right on the I have a feeling we will be eating on the beach multiple times! Barcelona was one of the top places on my I am beyond estatic to spend five days there. Other developing news on our planned trips is that fact that we booked our spring break for Italy. We have tickets to Italy, and tickets home from Italy, but that is as far in the process as we have made it. We plan on traveling the country side and taking in the beauty of the country! I am sooooo excited for this as well! We are backpacking for both of these it will be interesting to see if I can "rough" it for five days and ten days with just a back pack on my back! I will make sure to give you all an update when it is all said and done!

Other then life is going smoothly. I love it here, and am having the time of my life! Everything happens for a reason, and I am still looking for the reason why I am here....but with all of the great experiences I have already encountered in my short time in Europe, I know the reason will be a very good one :) I want to thank everyone for everything you have done for me while I have been here. Without you, this experience would not be near as enjoyable :)

I hope everyone is doing great....and staying heathly! Have a great rest of the weekend...and a great week to follow.....until next time....(with barcelona news of course!)
