Our first stop today was the Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings is where the Pharoahs tombs are located. We went into three different tombs including that of King Tutankhamon. The inside of the tombs are amazingly decorated and the colour of the original paintwork still remains today. There is still one of the original sarcophagus's and gold coffin left in King Tuts tomb. The next stop was the Valley of the Queens. This temple is dedicated to the female pharoah, Hatchesup.
From there we went into Luxor to see the Temple of Karnak. After seeing a couple of temples, they all start to look the same and its hard to remember which one is which. Even so all of the temples have been amazing to see and the Temple of Karnak was no exception. After a quick rest at our hotel, we went for a camel ride through a local Luxor village. We had a local guiding our camel all the way so we didnt get to do anything too crazy on the camel
The hotel we stayed at was a five star hotel and had a couple of different restaurants. We ended up have pizza's from the Italian restaurant which were really nice. After dinner I joined the tour guide at a local cafe for some sheesha or water pipe. The water pipe is sort of like a bong but is meant to be alot smoother and the tobacco comes in different flavours. This time I tried the apple flavoured tobacco and it definately went down smoothly especially for a non smoker like myself. It also seems to give me alot more of a head spin than the odd occassion I've tried a cigarette, not as much as the Swedish tobacco though!
