We are all falling in this new pace of life quite easily. We all really enjoy it here. Who wouldn't? ........"Villas Playasol is located in the small fishing village of Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico situated right on the Caribbean sea. Puerto Morelos' beaches are protected by the second largest barrier reef in the world - offering excellent snorkeling and scuba diving. The village is 2 KM from the main Highway 307 that runs from Cancun to Chetumal. Puerto Morelos is approximately half way between Cancun and Playa del Carmen - or 20 miles from either location. This allows easy access to all of the night life and other attractions of these towns and easy travel to famed Maya ruins through out the Yucatan. Villas Playasol is an excellent choice for a quality family vacation without the hassle and boom boom boom of the large tourist centers."
Sabrina, Sophia and I got up early this morning as the sun rose to walk and run along the beach and then finished our morning exercise with a swim in the warm Caribbean sea. If today is like the others we will play at the pool and beach until mid morning when it is so hot we come inside and do some school work and eat then head back outside to do the same again.
And so we are ...........we made it to Puerto Morelos, Mexico in record time - about 2000 km in 32hours!! We left Morelia early Saturday morning and rode the bus and rode the bus and rode the bus some more. The kids were fantastic!! It's funny how we often underestimate people, especially children. Janice and I thought for sure at least one or perhaps all of them would have a major meltdown from exhaustion of the journey. Truth be told, I (Raymond) was closer to a breakdown than the children. Because I want to be a 'gentleman' I will leave Janice out of this comparison. Lets just say I was sure glad to take the journey while I was still a young man still in his thirties. I can't claim the same today as we just celebrated my 40th birthday.
