On Sunday we went on our tour to the black glacier which is in Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi this national park is 710,000 hectars in size and is Argentinas 3rd largest national park. Our tour began with a tiny Argentian woman telling us about the conflict between Chile and Argentina over who owned the land
Monday was our day to spoil ourselves, we went to a chocolate factory! It was just a short walk from the hostel and once we got there we got a cup of really nice hot chocolate and some of the sweets that were made in the factory. The tour cost 15 pesos each and lasted for about 45 minutes. It was really interesting to see the history of chocolate and how it evolved into what we eat now. After the tour we walked around the town with Michelle & Ruth seeing some more beatiful views. Once we got back to the hostel we said goodbye to the two girls and relaxed for the night.
On Tuesday we decided to get an early start to the day to see what the bus plan was going to be since the volcano in Chile had started to throw out more ash and hot rocks. When we got to the bus station we were told that we would have to spent a night in Esquel about 400km south of Bariloche until day light when the bus drivers would have better visibility. We then decided weŽd go for it even though it was going to make the trip to El Calafate last for about two days. We went back to the hostel, checked out and loitered in the hostel until it was time for the bus at 5.15.
