February 19th Again! Tahiti, As I mentioned, we crossed over the international timeline from New Zealand to Tahiti so we get to repeat the day. The second February 19th was so much better than the first time round due to a full day of travel. We are staying in a bungalow on the ocean at the Intercontinental Resort. It is surreal to say the least! The roof is thatched, the wood floor is made from bamboo and we have a little patio with steps that go down to the water. I think we are in paradise! Today I rented a wet suit and John and I swam around the hotel’s reef. The colors and types of fish were amazing and sometimes they would just swarm around us out of curiosity. We saw clams with blue and green ‘lips’ and an amazing sea cucumber that looked like a long snake.

It is great to see John so relaxed and doing something he has dreamed about for years. He loves just hearing the waves lap at our dock as he sits outside in the lounge chair.

The food is good here but very, very, expensive. John and I got 2 drinks (mine without alcohol) for $37 U.S. Boy, does that hurt! Luckily, tomorrow we go to the cruise ship Paul Gauguin. It sounds absolutely amazing!
