Well the last email was to let you know we where off to The Maldives that Very night well we arrived at 2am and landed by private boat on our paradise Island of Embuda. Woke in the morning to a beautiful turquoise sea hot sun And white sand just like in the Bounty advert. Huge flying foxes in the Coconut trees (harmless except for falling droppings), dolphings that play At the front of the boat diving in and out of the waves we made - what a Sight! The snorkelling was fabulous having the privilege to swim with such Beautiful creatures such as reef sharks (3ft max and not too hungry we are Still intact!) Stingrays and too many different types of fish to mention. Each night we would go for a walk round the island and end up on the jetty To watch hundreds of fish feeding on the plankton under the spot lights. The Island had mainly French and German on it yes they still put their towels on The sun beds at the crack of dawn! They were very friendly to us. With all the hot sun Martins hair was going rapidly well in places anyway so One morning we asked our waiter if he could get his hair cut somewhere. He said he could do it for him. Next day Mohamed meets us at our cottage ready with his clippers. Well all I can say is Martin wouldn't look out of place on Brighton Seafront on a Bank Holiday as he must easily have a No 2!!! Its so short he needs sun cream all over his head not just on his Crop Circle!! We had a right laugh about it. We have also learnt to make animals out of palm leaves another skill to add to my CV. We made loads of them and decorated our cottage with mobiles of fish and birds. It looked really good and word soon got round that the mad English bunch live in there. It was also Ramadan whilst we were there we really don't know how they do it nothing by mouth from sunrise until about 1am. Such hard work in this heat of 35 degrees plus. And they have to serve food all day!! Paradise ended after 7 days and then it was back to Sri Lanka.
