Well folks.  I am back home in Barbados.  First I must say thanks to Gillian (gill-ian), the conference planner, for the swift work in getting someone to collect my mobile from front desk.  I will call her on Monday to find out when I will actually get it in my hand but sweet reassurance.

Secondly  I want to say thanks to all 120 person who have been reading my travel blog.  I am truly honored you find my travel drivel entertaining (smile).

Thirdly I want to thank all 45 of the delegates (including myself) who made this conference such a wonderful learning experience.  Somehow when I think about how I will apply it all I can't think!  However, I have used that as a hint to review my notes and the slides shows the presenters so kindly made avaiable to us and the entire internet community via the onecaribbean.org website Greenhouse Rocks!

Fourthly I want to thank my office, the Barbados Tourism Authority for giving me such a sterling opportunity.  I feel burdened nevertheless to share my newfound knowledge with my peers.  I have actually started with a Ning community dubbed Barbados Tourism Marketers.

I will upload all the PowerPoints, including my own, which will more than likely be a collaboration with my colleague, Charles, who also made the trip.

Fifthly I must thank Charles for helping me by taking some of my overweight from my suitcase and bringing back for me in his St. Maarten/ Caribbean bag, lol.  You know those cloth bags that only tourists and your grandmother carries? Lol (That reminds me I gotta wash mine free of massage gel.)

Sixthly and finally, I want to thank God for continuing my work-in-progress life with such an empowering chapter.  These last few days have made me feel like I am growing in every area of my life in a positive way.  I obeyed my pastor, for example and read my Bible every day at least twice a day.

The last chapter I read before coming back was Joshua 21.  This for me was so prophetic (eye-opening, for those who are not into the God-speak).  It said to me that I will be stronger professionally (in the spirit and the natural) because of this trip and I believe it!

So yeah... I made lots of friends, (sold all of the clothes I brought back in one day!), found deeper purpose as a citizen of the Kingdom of God and after today's ministry I am rearing and ready to go!

Is this my last travel blog?  I'm afraid so.  But those who want to keep up with me can bookmark my regular blog at www.lyricallava.blogspot.com or drop me an email at lyricallava@yahoo.com.

It's been fun and I must say I still can't believe that so many people have been reading my blog.

I'm so proud of us... we're Web 2.0!!!
