I have come face to face with my former self, and have been forced to realize that I am not her anymore. I have become the old lady who complains to the hotel when backpackers (on their last night of Greek spring break, no less) are too loud and wake me up out of my well needed rest.

How did this happen? I should be cool about these things, shouldn't I? I mean, I remember being that age... I am not THAT old. But then again, did they HAVE to accidentally call my room at 4am, then hang up, and then start drunkenly screaming at eachother from patio to patio? (Ok, don't answer that.) Mainly, did they have to do that when I spent so many euros for a good night's rest just a few feet away?

Yeah yeah. I know, I know... if you don't want to stay up all night then don't go to Mykonos Morning in Mykonos
Morning in Mykonos
. But that's where the ferry drops you off on the way to Santorini so there I ended up at 10pm whether I wanted to be there or not. Just happens I didn't feel like going out and partying all night with the cool kids so I decided to get a nice hotel and have some sleep... but while it was a good plan it didn't really happen that way. And wow, I sound a hundred and fifty years old. When did that happen?

The good part was that my ferry to Santorini didn't leave until 2pm so I was able to spend most of my morning falling asleep in the sun by the pool, making up for the sleep I didn't get the night before. There are benefits to being in Greece when you are sleep deprived... falling asleep in the sun is a very acceptable way to spend a day here.
