Same, same - we enjoyed a cooked breakfast then spent the rest of the day lounging around the pool.

Terry tried to teach me how to dive but I was too chicken to try and jump from the side of the pool so just tried in the water. I did manage a couple of times to get my whole body under the water but most of the time, according to Terry, my bum was sticking out. Never mind, the rest of the people around the pool enjoyed the hours entertainment.

Trying to cut down on the amount of food we consumed as we were doing very little exercise, we just ordered milk shakes for lunch. By 16:00 I was starving, so we left the poolside for the bungalow to get ready to go out. The establishment were putting on a show of Balinese food, music and dancing, but that didn't start until 19:00 by which time I would have been eating the tablecloth. As for Balinese music, its not as if you can sing a long - its purely instrumental and sounds as if they make it up as they go along.

We went back to the Little Bird restaurant and ordered two different dishes. We managed to work out that the menu was actually very limited; that each 'meat' was served with one of only two sauces. This time I had a Pork dish and Terry had Beef; his Beef was served in 'my' sauce from the previous evening and I had his. By the end of the meal, we had pretty much exhausted the mains menu. Once again though, the food was excellent.

In an attempt to walk off some of the Bintang Beer calories, we walked further away from our accommodation toward the busier part of town. Unfortunately, it started to rain, lightly at first, but then the heavens opened. Without a coat or brolly, Terry dived strategically into a little shop called 'Coffee and Cake'. We ordered drinks and Terry, who could NOT have possibly been hungry, ordered a banana muffin. How disappointed was he when the waitress bought out a muffin the size of a small cup cake!

Once the rain had stopped and the muffin had been devoured, we turned tail and returned to our accommodation. It was too early to go to bed so we lounged about in the comfy open lounge catching up with emails, playing games and reading for a couple of hours.
