Santa Cruz is funky town that is home to the University of Santa Cruz, California. It is well know for its liberal leanings, alternative community lifestyles, and is home to lots of counter-cultures and sub-cultures. Unfortunately, Jackie decided to have one of her very infrequent colds and we did not get to share several couples-massages which had been planned; Santa Cruz is know for its various health spas. We did visit the pier to enjoy a seafood meal, and watch a seagull consume a star fish.
