The luxury of internal flights has unfortunately ended and we spent a good 8 hours on the Greyhond bus from San Francisco to Hollywood. As we arrived at the hostel Luke bumped into someone he knew from Broadstairs funnily enough! Small world. The hostel was doing a free BBQ so we went along for some burgers and a few drinks which went down nicely after the bus ride. The next day we went to Venice beach and Santa Monica beach (where all the famous people hang out!) Didn't spot any stars though. Then we went back to Melrose Avenue where we were staying and met up with my cousin who lives in  LA. After having a drink with them, Luke and I hit the sunset strip for some drinks and dinner. The food was great and the atmosphere was buzzing as we got to see the next installment of the LA lakers vs. Boston Celtics. The Lakers won so the whole of hollywood was happy.

The next day we went to see the Chinese Theatre where movie stars names and handprints are in the pavement. We also had a look at the hollywood sign. There were a few empty stars in the pavement (hopefully will have our names in one day)! After that we took a trip to the famers market (where Victoria Beckham was recently spotted!) Its got loads of great little stalls selling food from all over the world, but Luke still ended up with a kebab?!? Anna got all you can eat sushi for $20 so was trying all sorts of crazy things. 

Next up was a 10 hour night time flight to Fiji. After doing so much in the States in 2 1/2 weeks we were ready for some beach time!!
