Abarqu is on the way to Shiraz, so I decided to give it a try since I am a bit tired of Iranian main cities and my guide book said that it was a historical town with lots to see.
It turned out to be one more of the romantic indications of Lonely Planet Iran!
Abarqu is a dull town with only a few historical sites! Not worth all the effort, since I depend on public transport and had lots of trouble getting around and leaving the town. My hotel - the only one in town - was in the middle of nowhere and I ended up having to hire a taxi to go sightseeing. Not exactly my favourite option!!!
+ It seems that most Iranian towns and cities have the same noisy traffic, square ugly buildings and a great scarcity of restaurants.
You are lucky - my pictures show only the niceties of Abarqu!

Besitos
