Esfahan is one of the most famous and celebrated tourist destinations of Iran and it actually has the most beautiful building complex I have ever seen in my life: Iman Mosque at the Nasq-e Jahan / Iman Square.
I ended up staying nine nights in this pleasant city. People are extremely warm and friedly and, again, I made nice friends here.
There are several historical bridges over the Zayandeh river, all built with stone and sun-baked bricks. There are also very well kept gardens all along the river! I spent quite some time just lying on the grass and watching people having picnic or passing by.
